Adam Coulson joined Wilson Gunn in 2014 and is a qualified Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney. Prior to joining Wilson Gunn, Adam spent over a year working in industry.
Adam has worked with clients of all sizes, ranging from individuals and start-ups to universities and multinationals. He has experience in a broad range of fields, including materials science, industrial chemistry, chemical coatings, food chemistry, consumer products, fastening systems, fabrics and apparel, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, construction, industrial processes, composites, bio-based materials and alternative energy products.
Adam has experience in drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the UK, Europe and internationally. He also has experience of contentious matters relating to patent infringement and validity proceedings in the UK and overseas.
For his final year dissertation, Adam conducted research into the design of metal complexes with organic multidentate ligands.
Adam handles design portfolios for a number of multi-national and SME clients. He has experience in filing and prosecuting registered design applications in the UK and overseas.
