Pat Phillips began her career in the space industry as an engineer before entering the patent profession. She has over 30 years’ experience in intellectual property, initially working in private practice in Germany before moving to the UK where she qualified in patents, trade marks and designs. Pat joined Wilson Gunn in 1997.
Pat has extensive experience in the fields of mechanical and electronic engineering, computer technology and physics, and has a particular interest in semiconductor technology, automotive technology, and switching technology. She has considerable experience in the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent, design and trade mark applications before the UK Intellectual Property Office, the European Patent Office, the International Patent Office and in other countries worldwide. She especially enjoys working with SMEs and private inventors, and advising on their patent portfolios.
Pat also deals with a wide range of trade mark issues.
