Henry Shine joined Wilson Gunn in 2019 and is a qualified Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney.
Henry works with a range of clients mainly focussed on engineering, software and technology, such as in construction, automotive, medical and cybersecurity industries. Henry routinely helps clients to obtain commercially-useful patent protection in the UK, Europe and further afield.
Henry’s degrees covered a range of topics including lasers, semi-conductors, electronics, nuclear and quantum physics, and biological physics. Henry also has experience of working as a telecommunications engineer at BP, working on projects relating to radar, radio, alarm and safety-critical IT systems, and in data science whilst completing an internship at a Manchester-based technology start-up in 2018.
Henry’s practice also covers trade marks. He frequently helps with trade mark clearance and registration and has experience with transactions involving large portfolios of trade marks. Henry also assists clients with contentious trade mark issues.
Henry has assisted clients with design infringement issues as well as the protection of product designs through the filing of registered design applications.
