Alexander Thompson joined Wilson Gunn in 2023 having previously worked for specialist intellectual property firms in York and London. He first qualified as a trade mark attorney in 2004.
Alex studied Chinese at university and has lived and worked in both China and Japan. He maintains a strong interest in East Asia.
Alex has assisted clients with interests in a wide range of sectors to protect their brands in various parts of the world. He particularly understands the needs of smaller enterprises – having previously run his own education business – but his commercial and pragmatic approach is equally applicable to the requirements of clients of all kinds, who appreciate the straightforward and practical advice he provides.
